Sat-Speed Offers Internet Access Via SES ASTRA

German internet access provider Sat-Speed plans to launch pre-paid broadband internet access via Astra. The company is offering the service across the continent, with the pre-paid cards allowing 357 minutes online.

The connection only works downstream, at a speed of up to 768 kbps, with upload offered via traditional telephone lines. Users need a digital satellite receiver, a DVB card and telephone internet access.
