Online US Workers Make an Attractive Target for AdvertisersPersons online while at work make up a compelling demographic for online advertisers, according to a new report from eMarketer. It said 37% of U.S. employees were online regularly while at work, with 70% of those having a college degree and half having household incomes of $75,000 or more. The report, "An Elephant in the Room: The Online At-Work Audience, was prepared by eMarketer and compiled from data generated by the Dept. of Commerce, Forrester Research, GartnerG2, comScore and others. The report said 60% of consumer online dollars were spent while buyers were at work, fueled in part by the fact that 86% of at-work Internet users have broadband connections. British Airways Begins Trial of Connexion by BoeingEchoStar and EarthLink announced an agreement that will bundle EchoStar's DISH Network digBritish Airways began a 3-month trial of Connexion by Boeing, the satellite Internet service. The trial is on a 747-400 plane and BA says it will vary the fees for the service during the trial and evaluate customer reactions before making any final decisions on offering the service as a standard flight feature. Over 102 Million Americans Have Used the Internet for Audio or Video ServicesInternet audio or video services have been used by 103 million Americans, the latest survey by Arbitron and Edison Media showed. They said 44% of all Americans currently used Internet streaming media, vs. 24% 3 years ago.
